KitchenAid interactive product point of sale display for retail stores

Genesis Retail Displays is a point of sale display design agency in Sydney that helped launch the KitchenAid Cordless GO range of products into electrical retail stores. This point of sale design project really pushed our creative and logistical capabilities as it required coverage in over 600 retail stores across Australia and New Zealand with units that were durable, functional and on brand.

The requirements

Our task was to design interactive point of sale displays that highlighted the freedom the new GO range of products provided.

We had to design a retail display solution that would suit multiple retailers which included;

  • Flexible sizing to suit different store shelf depths
  • Be a design that was true to KitchenAid’s premium image
  • Be easy to set up and adjust, without overcomplicating the product

How we designed this point of sale display

Less Is More: We went for a minimalist design to reflect the freedom and simplicity of cordless appliances—simple, sleek, and functional. The displays needed to make a statement but also let customers experience the product without distractions.

Prototype and Testing: We built prototypes to make sure everything looked and worked just right. We tested everything—from how the display held up in stores to how it visually connected with the KitchenAid brand.

Retailer Customisation: No two stores are the same. We made large displays for flagship stores and smaller ones for tight spaces. Flexibility was key.

This was a huge point of sale design project which required the production of more than 1,090 displays and 300+ kits shipped to 600+ locations. Each one custom-fit to its retail environment, and all of them working together to boost visibility and sales.

Here’s the real win:

  • Retailers loved it. The flexibility of our design made their jobs easier.

  • Customers were drawn in. The displays created a buzz that translated into sales.

  • KitchenAid saw results. More foot traffic. More interaction. More purchases.

We’ve shown how our designs can knock it out of the park for KitchenAid.
